Any paper presented at the IGC 2010 which deals with optical glasses or optical properties of glasses or glass-ceramics may be submitted to a special issue of Optical Materials.
The Elsevier Editorial System (EES) is ready for submission for the special issue of OPTICAL MATERIALS: ICG 2010
the journal’s submission, review and decision process is managed entirely online using the EES.
The EES for this journal is located at: http://ees.elsevier.com/om/default.asp
To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the special issue, it is important that authors select SPECIAL ISSUE: ICG 2010 when they reach the “Article Type” step in the submission process. Failure to do so will cause the papers to go unrecognized as belonging to this special issue.
The Journal Manager will make sure that the special issue is published both online and in print. I also provide assistance in the editorial process.
For further assistance, please visit the customer support site at http://epsupport.elsevier.com. Here you can search for solutions on a range of topics, find answers to frequently asked questions and learn more about EES via interactive tutorials. The Proceedings of the XXII International Congress on Glass will be available for downloading to the registered participants. The publication will be done without peer review, however, the scientific committee will make the final decision about approval or rejection of each article. The deadline for submission is October 30th.
The length of the papers presented either in oral or poster form must be 4-10 pages.
The MS Word template provides a collection of macros to assist authors in writing their papers. The macros provide specific styles for the article title, author names, affiliations, abstract and references. If an author chooses not to use the macros, the styles will still have to be applied manually by the author.
